How We Operate - Current Leadership
Member police chiefs govern and operate NEMLEC, many of them holding leadership positions on the Executive Board, and/or within Operational Units and Committees, the vehicle through which NEMLEC organizes many of its administrative, technical, financial, and management functions. Primary organizational decision-making is the responsibility of the six-member Executive Board, which is tasked with the governance of the organization. Some of the duties of the Executive Board are:
- General Operational Oversight
- Represent Member Chiefs’ Interests
- Identify and Obtain Potential Revenue Sources
- Strategic Planning and Organizational Management
- Establish Collaborative Partnerships
- Facilitate Divisional Operations
The Executive Board is comprised of six member police chiefs serving in the following capacity:
