IMAT is a Multi-Disciplinary All-Hazards Type 3 Team comprised of skilled,
experienced leaders from the ten NIMS identified Emergency Response
Disciplines.
Purpose Provides 24/7/365 incident management assistance
and resource support to local incident commanders in 53 member communities
and 2 sheriffs departments, as well as NEMLEC asset commanders, located in
Essex and Middlesex County an area of 700 plus square miles and a population
of 1.3 million.

Provide Command and General Staff incident management
assistance and resource support at critical incidents and pre-planned
events.
Coordinate NIMS implementation activities, ICS
training, HSEEP exercises, and NIMSCAST assistance for member communities
and agencies.
